Princess Mani and Pedi

While visiting, Mimi decided to treat the girls to a princess mani pedi at a local salon called, "The Sweet Life Nail Bar."
Audrey and Sierra were so excited...they dressed up in their Easter sundresses and when they arrived at the salon, they were adorned with princess crowns...
Then offered cranberry juice as they started their pedicures, complete with leg massages.
The girls were in heaven loving every minute of being pampered!
You can tell just by seeing the happy smiles on their faces that they could get used to services like this on s regular basis!
Mimi was happy to treat her grand daughters!
Thanks so much Mimi!

Happy Easter

The Easter bunny was very generous to the girls this year. Surprise baskets awaited the girls when they awoke. Each basket was filled with all the treats and toys they love best.
Audrey got a princess Lego set with Pez...
...and Sierra got Shopkins with Reces pieces!
After breakfast, we discovered the Easter bunny had left all sorts of goodie filled eggs on our patio where all the snow had melted!
The girls found special golden eggs, regular sized eggs and mini eggs filled with coins, surprises and candy!

It was a fun chase and Sierra was very sweet to wait for Audrey to catch up to her super fast Easter egg finding!

Of course, we are happy to celebrate the day Jesus ascended into heaven. In honor of this glorious day, we read, "The Tale of the Three Trees."
It is a beautiful book about three little trees and what they dream to become when they grow up. Happy Easter to all.

Easter Egg Decorating

This morning after sierra's sparring practice, we painted, dipped and decorated 1-1/2 dozen Easter eggs.
It was so much fun dunking them, adding sparkles, stickers, sequins and drawings!
Our fingers changed to all the colors of the eggs too!
Happy Easter everyone!

Conner's 5th Birthday Party!

This afternoon we were invited to Audrey's friend, Conner's, birthday party at the Bladium Funhouse.
The place was filled with all kinds of bounce houses...kids were running and playing everywhere. Audrey had a blast!
Afterwards they had pizza, fruit and snacks. So much fun!
Everyone loves Conner...especially Audrey.

When it was time for the cake, everyone fought over sitting next to Conner... Audrey won!

The long drive to work...

Thursday morning after the blizzard hit, I had to go to work... The normal 20 minute drive took over an hour to get there on the icy roads. But, it sure was beautiful!

Denver Blizzard

The Spring blizzard hit us as quickly as it left. Late Tuesday night it rolled in fast with 30 mph winds and chunky snow and it didn't stop until Wednesday night around 6pm.
In all, we got 22 inches of snow at the house. We lost wifi and electricity throughout the day. But, thanks to the underground wires, everything came back on quickly.
The girls enjoyed having a snow day and due to the whipping winds, they couldn't stand being outside for more than 5 minutes at a time.
Thursday was also a snow day since it was too icy for the buses to drive, so the girls get 3 extra days off before their spring break! The girls say, "Yay for snow days!"

Sunny Day...

Our Sunday was beautiful. Although the temperature was 37, it felt like it was in the 60's. The sun was shining bright and it was so warm the girls were running around barefoot in shorts and tank tops!
After playing inside, making crafts, and painting on canvas, the girls decided it was too beautiful too miss playing outside in the yard, so they set up a picnic blanket, had snacks, the proceeded to water all the flowers and spray the dog, Jackson, with a water bottle! Such fun we had on the first day of Spring!

Surrounded by Love

After an early morning karate demo team 2-hour practice and two science experiments about weather and light, the girls settled down with their daddy to watch, "Dolphin Tale 2: Hope for Winter."
Once again, Victor is surrounded by the love of his girls!

A Happy Life

Victor sent me this picture of he and Audrey taking a short nap. I think he must feel like the happiest man alive!

Audrey Loses Her 1st Tooth

Last night Audrey decided it was time for her tooth to come out. Her lower left central incisor was super wiggly and she couldn't stop playing with it with her tongue. So, after bath time, we assembled in the bathroom and out it came...with no blood and no tears!
We were so proud of our little girl who, according to her daddy, is growing up too, too fast!
Audrey was so excited about going to school the next day so she could smile her toothless grin to all her friends! And, we think she was super early in losing a tooth.

No one else in her class had a loose tooth, and she lost this one 7 months earlier than Sierra lost her first tooth.

St. Patty's Day Parade

Friends invited us to see the St. Patrick's day parade. We watched from their balcony, and saw people dressed as historical figures, green donkeys, fire trucks hauling all sorts of people wearing green, and so much more!

The parade lasted for about 3 hours. The girls watched from the balcony while playing with Xena, the dog, and other kids at the party.

Toward the later part of the day, the girls started swinging in an exercise machine and riding a hover craft!

Happy St. Patrick's day to all!

Audrey's Class Song

Here is the song Audrey and her class wrote.

The Itsy Bitsy Ghost
(to the tune of The Itsy Bitsy Spider)
The itsy bitsy ghost flew up into the stars
Down came the Ti Fighters and they almost crashed
Out came the mermaids and they splashed the ghost
And the itsy bitsy ghost splashed the mermaids back.

Hiking the Lair o' the Bear...

Today we went hiking with some friends to Lair o' the Bear. It was icy in parts but mostly just beautiful.

The girls scaled a rock wall...

We saw ducks waddling in the water...
Audrey climbed a huge rock with Jesse...
Whenever we saw rocks, the kids all had to climb to the very top.
We climbed to the top on a large boulder and I had to take a photo of just us girls!
The views were spectacular!
So happy we made it! We could see snow capped mountains and a small city  beneath us!
Happy Sunday to all!

The Art Studio

On Saturday night we ended up with 7 kids in our house all excited about painting and drawing.
Our house was a virtual art studio while the dads all played catch by the pool. Thank goodness for warm spring days!
