Fairy face painting...

Aside from all the natural, outdoor activities like making wands from sticks, building fairy houses from moss, leaves, sticks and vines, and learning what our fairy names were, the girls has fun getting their faces painted!!!

Blithewold Fairy Festival

Our day was filled with pixie dust, flowers, fairy wands, bubbles and fun. We spent all day at the Blithewold fairy festival celebrating spring. Below are a few photos of the day...

Happy springtime to all!

Naptime together!

The girls have been on spring break all week, so when it's naptime, they share a bed.

Sweet Audrey!

The girls had a fun day at Barnes and Noble with their Daddy. Audrey was especially cute today. As soon as she got to the store, she picked up a super soft kitty and played with all the toys.

Afternoon Fun...

The girls took a walk this afternoon with their daddy to see if the new bakery shop was open, but they sure looked cute playing in the grass. Audrey looks like she's painting the tree as Sierra gets comfy kicking up her feet!

On their walk home, they stopped by Ms. Tina's house to have a tea party... Then the girls had a few laughs when they fell through her lawn chairs without the cushions!

Happy Easter!

Our fun started early with an Easter egg hunt after church and the fun didn't stop until late night!

Happy Easter everyone!

Spring is here!

After an evening snow last wednesday that lingered around until noon, we're finally enjoying warmer days! Below the girls played in the church garden. Today was in the 50's.

Daddy is loved!

Victor is a lucky man... After our Easter Day activities, the girls showered their daddy with kisses to show their appreciation.

Easter egg painting fun...

This year we bought the special glittery gold Easter egg painting kits and tonight we decided to make them! The girls were so excited to start. They each picked their favorite colors and started dipping. By the middle of our activity, the girls had blue and pink fingers with a golden sheen. It was tons-o-fun!

Sierra is growing up so fast. Last year I did most of the dipping, but this year she did it all on her own!

Happy Easter everyone!

Daddy's Errand...

Victor had to run an errand to the mall, so he took the girls and made a stop at the carousel for some fun and laughs.
Audrey chose the big horse...and Sierra chose a cute one!

Biking to the Beach...

Today our village of Wickford put on a Dafodil Days fashion show. We strolled to the town center and enjoyed the sun and warm weather. After the show, the girls got a goodie bag full of gifts from the local shops. Oh what fun!

Then later this afternoon we rode our bicycles to the beach and waded in the cool water.  Sierra is getting to be a great bicyclist and soon we'll be taking off her training wheels!

She also saved the day when she discovered Audrey's tricycle basket fell off at the corner... And it had Lois in it! Thank you Sierra for watching out for your sis!

Sierra's Tap Performance...

Sierra has been practicing each week for her big performance coming up in June. Today at ballet class, Miss Tara brought the girl's tap outfits to class for them to try on. Sierra loved her outfit and did a few twirls in it to make sure it fit just right!

The First Ladybug of the Season

Sierra was sitting in Audrey's room when her daddy found a ladybug sitting in her windowsill. Sierra was so happy and remembered last summer when she saved a ladybug from being water logged in our backyard pool. She was so happy to see her again. She knew it had to be her returning to see her friend after a long winter's nap!

Happy spring to all!

Word of the Day: Xenopus

Each week Sierra learns a new letter of the alphabet. This week was the letter, "X."

Of course she already know most of the common x words like x- ray and xylophone, so we tried to find a new X word that she didn't know.  The result was "Xenopus." It's a type of African frog with claws that has no tongue!

Daddy printed the definition, Sierra spelled it and found plastic frogs to show and tell at school as her example. I don't know who is more excited about the presentation: mommy, daddy, Audrey or Sierra!

Below Sierra poses with 4 Xenopus sitting on her. Can you find them all?

Walking Around Newport...

This past weekend was restaurant week in Newport where a group of local bars and restaurants offer special recipes to show case their delicious food. We chose  a place called the Pour House and the food was tops, complete with a gourmet rice crispy treat as dessert! The girls were in heaven!

We walked the town shops and saw local landmarks, like the national tennis museum, and the old stone mill. It was great fun to get out and stretch our legs!

Happy Saturday to all!
