Spring is on the Way!

As it gets warmer outside and the snow melts, the girls are eager to go to the playground. Today when Daddy announced they were going to Wilson Park, they were thrilled!
Sierra found another little girl to play with while Audrey and Daddy played on the swing set, slid down the slides and hung on the monkey bars.  It was terrific fun!
Spring is finally coming! Hooray!

Crafts for Mommy!

Our wonderful girls made me surprise crafts!  When I came home from work yesterday, they brought them out with pride announcing their surprises!  I was so impressed to know Sierra wrote all the words on her craft by herself!  She's learning to read, write her letters and do mathematics. On the back of her artistic creation, she signed her name perfectly!

Audrey loves making crafts too! Below is her wonderful creation with Daddy's help on the words!
Thank you girls for thinking of me while I was at work. I loved my surprise crafts and will cherish them forever!

Audrey Loves Bathtime!

Audrey loves bath time...especially when she's got the tub all to herself.

Below are some cute photos of her enjoying a private bath moment!

A Snowy Walk through Wickford!

With the office closed for a snow day, the girls and I went for a walk through Wickford enjoying the snow covered sidewalk and outdoor furniture covered in a blanket of fresh snow...
Audrey had it easy for our walk as she laid comfortably in her little blue sled while Mommy pulled her through town!
Sierra stopped when she saw a perfectly serene spot of untouched snow and decided to make a snow angel...it came out perfect!
Happy Snow Day girls! Thanks for spending the day with me!

The Best Snow Day!

After the blizzard was long gone, after the rain stopped, and after another light snow, the best snow day was here.
The snow was the perfect consistency to make snowmen, and in our case, snow bunnies!
Sierra, Audrey and I created a mamma bunny and her two little baby bunnies in our back yard!
It was wonderful fun and the girls took turns riding the bunny...Now, you can't do that with a snowman!
Audrey uncovered her angel and asked Daddy to take a photo of her...
Below is the mommy bunny and her two babies - complete with carrot noses!
And, below is the view from our living room!
Happy snow day everyone!

Happy Valentine's Day!

For Valentine's Day, the girls and their Daddy surprised me at work with flowers and big balloons! But our real celebration was Saturday so we could all be together as a family!
We started our day with surprises for the girls and had french toast for breakfast! Presents and sweets...a great way to start any day!
Audrey got a Rapunzel doll...
And, Sierra got a Periwinkle doll with a new dress for Cinderella!
Holidays are all about the girls these days! Thanks Mimi and Auntie Donna for sending such cute cards. The girls LOVED them!

Florida Seashells!

After visiting G-Daddy in Florida, we brought home lots of seashells from the beach to toss in our sandbox! The girls were so surprised to find so many shells and reminisce about our trip down south.

Sierra dressed up as Ariel, the mermaid princess, since we were looking for sea shells, of course!

It's Wintertime!

It's been snowing pretty regularly in Rhode Island and from what the neighbors tell us, it's a typical Winter season, The girls have to keep warm and wear their snowsuits, snow jackets and snow boots daily. Below are a couple cute photos of the girls we snapped on various days this week. Below Audrey is happy to find a warm knit hat to wear for the day...
And, below the girls take a break outside Wildflour, the local bakery in town.
I'm sure they got to share a sunflower cupcake or cookie after their nap, while Daddy enjoyed a nice cup of hot coffee!

Our Fanciful Girls!

When it's too cold to go outside, our girls make their own fun! Below Sierra and Audrey play dress up as Ariel, the princess mermaid, and a tiger kitty! Oh what fun!

Big Snow...

After the big blizzard, Nemo, that brought 30 inches of snow, Victor was the first to get out the snow shovels to clear the front door and paths around the house so we could get out.
During the girls nap time, I took the opportunity to shovel out my car from the deluge. It was my first time shoveling snow...ever! I have to say, it was fun. The air was clean and crisp, it was good exercise and it was quiet...a state of mind Victor and I rarely experience anymore!

Nemo: RI Blizzard

Nemo brought plenty of snow...24 inches at least. We were without power for the weekend and endured single digit temps without electricity. Fortunately, Victor kept us warm and happy with all the basic necessities by hooking up a generator to various kitchen appliances and oscillating heaters. He also shoveled all our entry ways and a path around the house so we wouldn't have to trudge through 2 feet of snow to get anywhere.  Thanks Honey! Power was restored Sunday evening! Oh, how we LOVE electricity!

Below are a few photos of our neighborhood showing the snow covered village.

Our Florida Home...

Visiting Orlando gave us the opportunity to see our Windermere home. And, lucky for us we have new renters - a wonderful family with 3 children, 2 boys and a teenage girl.  Knowing we were signing the lease this weekend, Victor made plans to get the house prepared for their arrival in Mid-March. Single handedly he made repairs, painted, finished flooring, constructed and secured all the loose ends in and around the house.
Above Sierra, Audrey and I walked around to explore the peninsula across the canal from our home.
We fed the fish pieces of bread and oranges. And, below Sierra ventures out on her own to the point of our property.

While we were there we felt very melancholy about our home - missing it and longing to be there again. The girls loved picking oranges and tangerines off the trees and eating them on the spot.  We took walks through Waterstone, the neighborhood next door, and enjoyed the beautiful colorful sunsets in the western sky!

In spite of our feelings of missing our home, we are thrilled that our new renters are a wholesome family eager to enjoy our special home and the wildlife around it.
