Our Wonderful World...

After dinner tonight, the Louie Armstrong song, "What a Wonderful World", started playing on our ipod and Sierra, Audrey and I took a moment to enjoy the song, the sounds and the love we all have for each other...take a look at the short video my dear husband took of his girls during his favorite song of all time...

Horsing Around in Wickford...

While walking through Wickford this afternoon, Victor and his girls had fun at a local antique store...Who would've guessed you could ride a horse in Wickford?! Sierra loved it as Audrey looked on  in admiration.

Sierra's First Soccer Practice

Sierra's first soccer practice was a roller coaster of emotions. We arrived promptly to Wilson Park at 5:00 p.m. to pick up her uniform only to discover it was yellow instead of pink!
This discovery in itself was enough to bring tears to Sierra's cute face. In spite of her feelings, we acted very excited, and tried to convince her that she was a bumble bee and it would be fun to buzz around the field chasing the ball with her other bumble bee friends...to no avail...
The tears and frustration didn't stop, but after forcing her to put the uniform over her cute pink outfit, we ran to catch up to the team to start practice. Seeing all the other children, and distracted by Coach Stu's instructions, Sierra started to feel better and played along.
Audrey and I stood on the sidelines watching practice for a little while. That is, until Audrey realized she wanted to run, kick the balls, play with the cones and have fun too! Frequently, she would escape my lap and run to find her sister...
Audrey was very interested in the cones...
And, she ran in and around them just like Coach Stu had instructed.
She was having a blast, all the while Sierra ran up and down the field with her team mates kicking the ball and occasionally picking it up with her hands! Oops!
Below is the first gathering of practice where the Coach tries to engage the kids in learning how to handle the ball with most every part of the body except the hands.  Enjoy!

Tulips & Daffodils, Oh My!

Sierra is our flower child. She simply can't get enough of them! Every day her daddy lets her pick one flower from the church garden, or one from our yard because they are in limited supply....But, in Auntie Donna's yard next door, the flowers are in unlimited supply! This past October when it started getting cold, Donna must have planted at least a hundred tulip and daffodil bulbs! And, now they are all blooming in red, pink, yellow, blended and white colors! It's absolutely glorious!
Sierra will sit among the flowers and just look at them, or pick one or two and smell them all day long. In our eyes, she has transformed from the infamous, "Flower Assassin," last spring when she used to disect every flower she met, into a "Flower Princess!" that insists on having flowers in every room in the house to enjoy from bud to full blossom!

Thank you Auntie Donna and Uncle Jimmy for the beautiful bouquet of tulips that sits in our living room. The sight and aroma is amazing!

Sunday at the Zoo...

While Mommy was working this past Sunday, Daddy took the girls to the zoo. They had a great time and Audrey was especially excited about the elephants and the giraffes.
Sierra, as always, loved the seals and this time talked about the buffalo!
There was a new children's play area that the girls had fun exploring...Audrey climbed on top of the biggest catapillar in the world...Then she wanted to know what was in that frog's mouth!
And, Sierra jumped on the frog and kept saying, "ribbit!"
Above, Sierra splashes in the wall fountain and could have played there for hours if her daddy would've let her. Once again, it was a fun day for Victor and his sweet girls.

Happy Easter!

Our Easter was so much fun I'm not sure how to describe it. We laughed, we played outside, we looked for eggs, we ate lots of candy and we went for a long walk to burn of the sugar buzz we all had. What can I say, it was a perfect day! Happy Easter everyone!

Our Holy Saturday Easter Egg Party...

On the eve of Easter we made Easter eggs! We were having so much fun we forgot about the time. It was 7pm and the girls should be in bed by 7:30! Oops! Oh well, the fun we were having was well worth staying up for...Sierra did a wonderful job coloring all our eggs and loved all the pretty colors and stickers for decorating.

We've got dozens of eggs ready for the Easter egg hunt tomorrow...That is, if we can keep the girls from eating them all by tomorrow afternoon! Happy Easter everyone!

Bye-Bye Orlando...

When we were at the Orlando Airport, Sierra spotted Snow White sitting all alone on a bench...she felt compelled to go visit and say hello! So, her daddy took a few photos of them together as a last farewell. We also saw a beautiful fountain and Mickey Mouse. Below is a look at our last photo opportunity in Orlando...

So long Orlando...We'll be back soon!
