Saturday in the Sandbox!

Our Saturday was fun...the girls played in the sandbox together and Victor took some cute photos...

On Tuesday while I was at work, Victor let Audrey have some private time on the new pony and she absolutely LOVED it! In the photos that follow, Audrey is having a great time riding Lucky, then bends to give him a kiss and to rest her head on his mane!

A Good Day for the Zoo...

Today was another warm Winter day...41 degrees and sunny. So, we decided to go to the zoo. We had fun visiting the elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, snow leopards, bears, seals, penguins, sheep, pigs, donkeys, cranes and more! The zoo is always fun. Take a look at our afternoon...Sierra loves the crowned cranes and think they have beautiful hair!

It was too chilly outside for the elephants and giraffes, so we found them in a nice, cozy, warm house.
Audrey was feeling happy all day...even after missing her nap!
At the farmyard, Sierra got to pet the sheep and goats. They were so soft!
Behind us are Guinea Hogs...
Playing in the sun outside the elephant house!
Just after lunch, the girls were enjoying a cherry icee!
Sierra and her Daddy goofing off as usual!
Meeting new friends is always fun! Audrey was fascinated with a girl her same size.
As you can see, Audrey is a girl on a mission! She knows exactly where she wants to go!
Posing with her Daddy by the Moon Bear.
And, laughing with Mommy on our way out of the park! Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

A Horse for Sierra to Ride...

Since Sierra's birthday when we took her to ride a real pony, Sierra has always wanted a "horse she could ride." With Winter upon us, riding outdoors is not very realistic for the next few months. However, on the way to Audrey's doctor yesterday, Victor spotted the perfect gift...a horse she could ride...indoors! A local consignment shop was just putting out a new toy riding horse for sale.As a good Daddy would, he stopped to check it out and made an offer on it. I am still not quite sure how he got it home with the 2 girls in the truck with him, but he did. Of course this incredible find was offered at a great price and Victor got it for less! He's a great Daddy and an equally good negotiator! Take a look at the great fun Sierra had when she woke up this morning...Happy Thursday Sierra!

And, as the grand finale, a video showing Sierra with her new pony, "Lucky" and their first ride together!

Our Sunday Night Fun...

It was too dark and too cold to go outside to play in the snow, so we brought the snow inside...from our rooftop to the playroom! Take a peek at the indoor snow-groom and snow-bride Sierra and Mommy made!
Audrey thought they were so cute, she wanted to eat them. It was super fun and hilarious!
Introducing the Snow-Bride...
...and the Snow-Groom!
I'm sure we'll have a lot more snow days to come! Winter has officially arrived!

Our 1st Official Snowman....Ever!

We were so excited to have a snow day...the first thing we were going to do was build a snowman! Then we discovered that after the huge deluge of snow we got...it wasn't the right kind of snow! No one ever said anything about different types of snow so I was confused... How was a Florida girl supposed to know there is "dry" snow from fresh snowfall that won't pack well, and "wet" snow which holds together? Anyway, by Sunday afternoon the snow had a chance to sit in the sun and become the perfect type for building our first snowman ever!
First and foremost, I thank my dear husband for getting us in gear to get outside and get started. He was on a mission to help us build a great snowman! Above he starts with a small snowball and rolls it, and rolls it and rolls it until it's large enough for the base.
Above, he's teaching Sierra how to make a good snowball...these are important life skills!
It was a slow process since the snow was still a bit dry...but we had perseverance!
Sierra was easily distracted and took time to explore the yard, uncover the horse statue in our back yard, go sledding with Brendan (the 7 year old boy next door), and stomp through the snow in her snow pants & boots! It was great fun for a 3 year old!
Victor spent the most time on the base, and below I helped create the middle. I didn't realize it was such a long process to build a snowman...but it was a lot of fun! I especially loved finding all the accessories for our snowman in the house...scarfs, cork, craft stuff and beads!
Audrey got too cold so I took her inside to warm her up. She watched the fun from the warm and toasty sun room and was very happy having the freedom to do whatever she wanted!Below is the view of our snowman from the street...
And, below is the view from the house...that's right a double-sided snowman!
We are so proud of ourselves! And, I am especially proud of my husband who built most of our wonderful snowman!
Thanks honey! Happy Snow Day!

Our Weekend Fun in the Snow!

Saturday was a big snow day...it started last night and was steady until about 4:00pm. We enjoyed stomping through the snow, sledding, swinging, having snowball fights, and building a snowman. Take a look at all the fun we had this weekend...
