Our 1st Fresh-cut Christmas Tree!

Today, we went to Schartner Farms to find a Christmas tree. Instead of just picking one that was already cut, we thought we'd make an adventure out of it and find our own to cut down. The local farm had fields of Fir trees for us to choose from. We let Sierra lead the way and she let us know when she found the perfect one...Take a peek at our Christmas tree adventure... Above Sierra found the cutest tree and said, "This is the one I want." When her Daddy explained not many presents would be able to fit under such a small tree, she rethought her decision and said, "I want a BIG tree!" we kept looking.
After about 10 minutes of looking at all the trees, Sierra finally found the perfect one.
Sierra kept her stick close at hand to make sure her Daddy was cutting down her tree properly...
He did a really good job and Sierra was happy!
On the way back to the car, Sierra asked her Daddy, "Daddy, where's your head?" (It was hidden in the tree!)
Arriving at the car, Audrey had just about all she could take strapped to the stroller seat! She wanted out!
Finally, once we arrived home, it didn't take long to get it positioned by the front windows, secured to the stand with fresh water! Merry Christmas everyone!

Audrey, Our Little Jedi Knight!

Audrey is getting much better at walking and she's been practicing a lot over the Thanksgiving holiday. We think she has mad skills and may give Luke Skywalker the challenge of his life! We love you baby girl. Keep up the good work!

This is Priceless!

Gigi buying a card for Sierra and Audrey = $3.99
Gigi mailing it to our house in Rhode Island = $0.44
Audrey's reaction to receiving the card = Priceless

Below is a short video showing Audrey's reaction to Gigi's card...Enjoy!

Thanks Mom!

Visiting Jamestown...

On one of my days off, our family took a leisurely stroll through Jamestown, shopped for ski gear for the girls, had lunch at an adorable outside cafe, and walked around on the docks to feed the birds and fish. The weather was spectacular, in the mid 60's and cool, as we enjoyed one of the last warm days of Autumn. Below are a few photos of our outing...enjoy!

Sierra's Baptism Dress...

We are planning to have both our daughters baptized at St. Paul's cathedral on January 8th, 2012. In preparation for the big day, we found the perfect dress for Sierra at a local store.
The dress is white satin with small rhinestones scattered across the top. A bow separates the bottom skirt which is covered in sparkles. She looks like an angel.
In both photos Sierra has the baby doll in her lap that my mother bought for me on my 6th birthday. Sierra loves it too!

Here Kitty, Kitty!

Our dear neighbor, Donna Jensen, was thinking of Sierra one day while shopping around town. She happened upon the cutest kitty cat costume and thought it would be adorable for Sierra this Halloween. It came with a leotard, a skirt and furry black tail, a cute set of ears and the most adorable black furry slip on shoes.
Sierra refused to wear it when Donna gave it to her, even though we raved about how cute it was. But, Sierra is stubborn and would not wear it even for a second to appease Donna. So, we kept it stored away until she wanted it...

Well that day was today! Sierra decided she wanted to put it we can't get her out of it, similar to her Princess dresses.

Thanksgiving Day 2011

Our Thanksgiving feast was delicious thanks to Victor and his culinary skills. He roasted his first turkey and it was cooked to perfection. He also prepared all the other dishes and everything was just bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry, gravy and biscuits...and...pumpkin pie and apple pie for dessert. Even Audrey tasted all the delicious food. Mmmmmmmm! It was so good and we've still got yummy leftovers! Thanks Honey! Enjoy the pics of our dinner feast!

Thanks Mimi!

Mimi, Victor's mom, sent us a housewarming present and included in the package were 2 sleep suits for Sierra and Audrey. Since the nights are getting cooler, we've been very grateful for the thoughtful gifts. Below the girls are shown wearing them. We love you Mimi and Grand-pop-pop. We can't wait to see you soon...

Sierra's New Cinderella Dress from Gigi

Sierra loves pretending to be a princess. As you may know, this past Halloween Sierra was Snow White. We bought her outfit about a month before Halloween and she wore it almost every day. Now, almost 3 weeks after Halloween, she wears it daily. Every so often it needs a wash, so we get a 3 day max respite...
However, Gigi mailed Sierra a new Cinderella gown that she loves to wear too. So when the Snow White dress is being washed, she wears the Cinderella dress! Thanks Mom...I think.

Every day, our morning routine goes like this: "It's Daytime!" announces Sierra as she opens the drapes behind her bed. "It's sunny outside...can I wear my snow white dress, Mommy?" It's in the wash honey, I respond. "Then, can I wear my Cinderella dress, pleeeease!" begs Sierra. Of course, I say. And, Sierra proceeds to dance around on her bed as she strips off her pajamas with the biggest, happiest grin on her face! How could I say no?!
So everyday, Sierra starts her day in either her Snow White or Cinderella dress. And, it's never complete without her crown and bloomers!

She's such a little princess!

And our dear Audrey, is always close by...just staring at Sierra as if she's watching and absorbing every last detail of Sierra's expressions, behavior and attitude. Yes, we know...We are in BIG trouble with our two darling little girls when they become teenagers!

Introducing Sierra's New Car!

A friend from work gave us the cutest toy car for Sierra. It's a Volkswagon Beetle convertible big enough for Sierra and Audrey to sit up front and drive around the yard.

Sierra absolutely loves it and thinks it's cool to drive on her own. Take a peek at the fun she had this weekend...

(Sorry it's sideways...)

Audrey's First Steps

Today Audrey took her first steps. It was 7:22pm on 11-11-11. They were the most awesome baby steps... and we counted 8 total. Take a peek at this wonderful sight. We are so very excited and hope you will be too!

The Wickford Veteran's Day Parade

Wickford is a town with a big social agenda. Following the wonderful Halloween parade, trick or treating adventure and the scarecrow contest, the Veteran's day parade was filled with surprises for our girls...
As the parade marched on many children threw candy toward the crowd, and a strawberry flavored lolipop fell to Sierra's feet. It was a wonderful surprise and was quickly opened by our darling lolipop loving daughter, Sierra!
Cars, marching bands, karate kids, ballet girls, dogs dressed in their best parade wear and the best of all...Thomas the Train!
Audrey is getting to be the age, where she's not content to sit and abide in her stroller. Instead she wants to see what's going on and be in the mix! Below, she's pictured with "Auntie Donna" our neighbor.

We hope your holiday was as fun as ours! Miss you all.
