Cozy on the Connecticut Shore

We started our hotel stays in Orlando at the Grand Cypress hotel since it was only 10minutes from our house...and it was one last goodbye to Orlando since Sierra loves the hotel's pool and slide so much. Above is a photo of Sierra and her Daddy as we walk down to breakfast.

Traveling from Florida to Rhode Island with a toddler and a baby in 2 cars seemed to be a daunting task. However, once we were on the road, we started having a lot of fun! I drove Audrey with me in the 350Z and Victor & Sierra drove in the SUV. We made sure to drive only 5 hours per day and stop at hotels with pools or a beach all the way up the eastern coast. In the photos below we made it all the way to the beautiful Connecticut shoreline and stayed at the Water's Edge Resort.

We had a lovely room with a view and took advantage of the beach!
There were flowers everywhere...Sierra was in heaven!

Below Audrey got cozy on the plush bedding in our room.

The rest of the photos show our time on the beach. We were having so much fun in Connecticut, we didn't want to leave!

Only 3 more hours until we reach our home in Rhode Island...Wish us luck!

The Texas Clan Arrives!

In order to help us get through our move, the Howard and Bek families decided to pitch in and drive all the way to Florida to help us spackle, paint, clean and take care of our 2 girls in preparation for our move!

Everyone arrived to our home on Father's Day! We had a wonderful afternoon of socializing and playing with our kids. Victor assigned Joe to do the cooking and he crafted delicious hamburgers, hotdogs and grilled chicken!

Davey and Lucy even stopped by for a visit with their 3 grand-children, Dillon, Devon and Destiny. Sierra loved having visitors and played well with the two boys! Thanks for helping out everyone! We are so very grateful for your visit and for you to meet Audrey for the first time!

And, we celebrated Lucy's birthday as well! Happy Birthday Lucy!

Audrey Up Close!

Audrey is getting bigger and stronger every day. Below she's playing in her "Tea Party Entertainment Center" and she loves it. There are so many colors, mirrors, games, and teething rings to play with Audrey is never bored.

I think my mother took these cute photos of Audrey while visiting during the week before our move. She's getting much more animated and fun to play with. Enjoy!

Sierra and her Bows!

Sometimes the simplest of thigs can offer the most fun! Seeing Sierra develop into a beautiful little girl is such a thrilling time for the Mommy. I snapped a few photos of Sierra enjoying a bag of bows we found in the closet. Enjoy!

Mimi Visits from Louisiana

On the day we returned from Rhode Island, Sierra's grandmother, Mimi (Linda), was traveling to our home for a visit. This would be her last visit to our Sandy Shores home. Since we leased it to the local Prep School, our move out day will be July 1st.
Mimi's previous trip to visit was the week of Audrey's birth, in mid-January. Audrey has grown so much since then. At nearly 20 weeks, Audrey just started on formula and weighs about 14 pounds. She's still long and lean like her Daddy!

Above, Mimi iholds her 2 grand-daughters!

Sierra was so excited to see her Mimi. She had many plans to take her on walks, draw with chalk on the driveway, and blow bubbles on the porch!

Mimi brought many gifts for Sierra including a couple cute outfits (a hand painted rainbow top and the cutest denim skirt she's wearing in the photo), puzzles, bubbles and a thougthful donation to her college fund!

Mimi helped Sierra draw her name and a rainbow of hearts on the driveway.

Thank you so much for visiting! We loved having you here for the last 4 days! We love you Mimi and Grand-pop-pop! We can't wait to have you visit us again in Rhode Island!

Our New Home in Wickford, RI

After spending countless hours searching the internet for home rentals, talking to realtors and visiting Rhode Island, we finally decided to live in the small town of Wickford, RI - 15 minutes from the Galaxy office.

The house was built in 1789 and bears the name plate of "John Smith." There is so much history in this little town and we are very excited to learn more about the city and our neighbors. St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral owns the house and property. We met the assistant pastor living there now and he gave us the tour.

Coincidently, the house listing was given to our realtor the day before we called her. She said she just discovered the rectory house and it may be just what we were looking for. It has a cute white picket fence around the yard and beautiful flowers all around. Velma was right! It was perfect for us!

It's a large home about 2400 sq. ft, with a big back yard, a sun room, 5 bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths. We'll have lots of room to play hide and seek and set up toys! Our new address will be 14 Gold Street, North Kingstown, RI 02852 starting July 1st!
